About Me

Hello there! My name is Arosah Ali and I am currently serving as a Youth Development Volunteer in Peace Corps Eswatini, a journey I began since 2022. Thank you for joining me on this journey and taking the time to walk alongside it. Before joining the Peace Corps, I had the opportunity to work in refugee resettlement in the United States. I saw the moment when refugees arrived at the airport, and I assisted them with employment throughout their initial 8 months!

Now I have the humbling opportunity where I am invited into a country to learn their culture, language, and so much more.  Similar to writing letters, I will share the different experiences of joy, love, and celebration. At the same time, I know there will also be moments to process and navigate the various challenges. I hope this blog can capture the different aspects of my journey in Eswatini, and the beautiful Swazi people: Maswati lamahle. 

 

My aspirations: To live life alongside people and highlight their inner strengths. Now, let the journey begin!
